Design and Characteristics

Designed specifically as a text face, Astoria’s unique feature is its subtle serif, which gives it a nuanced appearance. This serif, located at the top left of each letter, adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the font. While it may not be a traditional Roman or Sans Serif font, Astoria’s design ensures it remains highly legible and versatile.

Versatility in Use

Although Astoria was designed with text in mind, its clean lines and distinctive serif make it an excellent choice for headlines as well. Its adaptability across various typography applications makes Astoria a valuable asset for designers seeking a font that can seamlessly transition between body text and headings.

The Influence of Gill

Astoria’s design is notably influenced by the Gill Sans font, particularly evident in its mid-weights.
