Single-Line and Hairline Fonts: What’s the Difference?

Norfleet Sketch is available in two versions: Norfleet Sketch One (single-line font) and Norfleet Sketch Two (hairline font). The main difference between the two lies in their design and usage:

• Norfleet Sketch One (Single-Line Font): A true single-line font made from a single stroke from beginning to end. Suitable for use in CNC/specialty programs like Rhinoceros. Requires proficiency in vector design programs like Illustrator, Inkscape, or Affinity Designer to remove the connection between the start and end points of the strokes.
• Norfleet Sketch Two (Hairline Font): A hairline font with outline strokes that are virtually invisible. Designed for use in most crafting and design programs, such as Silhouette Studio, Cricut Design Space, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Inkscape, and Affinity Designer.

Usage and Compatibility

Single-line and hairline fonts are not suitable for word processing, printing, or cutting. They are designed for use with a sketch pen, foil quill, engraving tool, infusible ink pen, Glowforge scoring, or any other stylus or nib that draws letters with a single line instead of an outline.

The font comes in both single-line and hairline versions, with different software programs using different formats. Note that due to known issues with Brother Canvas Workspace, the compatibility of single-line fonts cannot be guaranteed.
